It's been a while since I blogged, and I don't think I'm going to do much sleeping tonight (for the third or fourth night in a row... hmph). Anyway, I think an update is long past due!
Well, let's see. I finally got my tattoo done! And now it's pretty much healed (another week and a half until I can officially declare it healed... but I don't have to worry about it anymore). Now I'm hooked. I definitely want another one, even though *cough* someone isn't too keen on the idea...
I decided to start taking classes this upcoming winter quarter, back at the of-so-fun CBC... It's going to be interesting paying for it, but we'll see how it goes. So far, I'm signed up for macroeconomics (online with a guy that's crazy-hard...), general chemistry prep (unless a spot opens up in general biology or I can get a course code to get into general chemistry), and calculus I. It's going to be one hectic quarter. I have thought about just taking two classes that quarter, but that would REALLY put me behind. But... I don't know. If I take three classes, I have to give up the praise team and Wednesday night youth group. I guess I have some more praying to do, eh?
Still no new job =/
The kitties are officially staying with us "until we find them a new home". Yeah... more like they're staying with us, and we're getting my dad to warm up to them. Although, I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not happy with them at the moment! I don't know how this happened, honestly. When they were found, they were obviously in bad condition. Eye infections, ear mites, ringworm, malnourished, etc. But we got them all better (although they're probably going to need another dose of ear mite meds when we take them in to get their next shots and to get neutered, just because they had them so badly). All better, as in no more traces of those ailments (with exception to ear mites, since the vet's assistant just gave them meds for the first time a few weeks ago... seriously, why didn't they give it to them when we first brought them in? Or the next time? Sheesh...). Anyway, today my right side had been kinda itching. Not too badly, but noticeably enough at various times today. I went to scratch my side about an hour ago, and I noticed my skin felt kinda weird in an area. I looked down, and guess what? I have friggin ringworm! Can you guess where I got it from? Maybe it's because of the fact that people decide to dry certain kitties off with the clean towels hanging in my bathroom? The same clean towels I use to shower with? It's really annoying having my mom and sis both use my bathroom, especially since they both have their own bathrooms.
Anyway, I have ringworm =/ I'm gonna have to look out for any other spots tomorrow when I take a shower (with absolutely new towels...). And to top it off, I now get to spend my already busy day tomorrow cleaning, disinfecting, and washing pretty much everything. But I may not pay too close of attention to the common bathroom area... I mean, seriously. I take care of the kitties more than my sister does, and they're HER cats! I have saved their lives on numerous occasions (actually, I've saved their lives on numerous occasions just today!). And what do I get from it all? Ringworm. I kind of want to "accidentally" take my band-aid off and "accidentally" rub my ringworm alllllll over her pillow when she's at work tomorrow. I'm sure she'd love to get an itchy fungus on her face and scalp. Yummy.
Thankfully, I just happened to have tolnaftate cream (antifungal cream, for those of you who aren't studying to become a pharmacist =P) lying around because of a previous run-in with a bra-induced yeast infection. Yes ladies, you can get yeast infections in various places on your body. Actually, men can get them too. And if you ever DO get one, topical athlete's foot antifungal creams will get rid of 'em. There's also an unpleasant-sounding remedy involving bleach, but somehow I don't think you'll care to try it. Aren't you glad I'm becoming a pharmacist?
Anyway, I just wanted to rant about the unfairness of this all. *Sigh* be nice to cute and semi-evil kitties, get ringworm. Life is vicious.
Now I'm off to read more QC, since I still can't sleep! Yay!
